Heartfelt Sympathy — June Scharbow

June Scharbow, 88, Fargo, ND died on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Innovis Health, Fargo, ND

Junerose Evelyn Moldenhauer was born July 4, 1921 at St. John’s Hospital, Fargo, ND to Robert Henry and Emma Amanda (Mueller) Moldenhauer. She grew up in the Chaffee / Alice, ND area and attended rural schools through the eighth grade. June then worked as a housekeeper for some of the areas neighbors.

She married Magnus Wilbert Martin Scharbow, on his birthday, November 11, 1941. They bought the Pat Boyle farm, north of Sheldon, ND in 1942 and farmed there until 1974, when they had a house built in Embden, ND. There they refinished furniture and took used clothing apart for Lutheran World Relief Quilts.

June is survived by one son, Lonnie (Valerie) Scharbow, Enderlin, ND; four daughters, Janice (David) Horgeshimer, Wheatland, ND, Donna Lisburg, Fargo, ND, Bonnie (Miles) Paulson, Manning, ND, Connie (Larry) Lampl, West Fargo, ND; one sister, Pearl Foth, Valley City, ND; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Max who went to the Lord on March 3, 1981; two sisters, Marjorie Mueller and Lillian Spadgenske; one infant grandson; and one infant great granddaughter, Payton Samuelson.

Visitation: Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at the West Funeral Home, West Fargo.

Funeral: Friday at 2 PM at St. John Lutheran Church, Embden.

Burial: St. John Cemetery, Embden.
